Friends Camping - 2011 - Day 3 & 4

The third day arrives.. it's promising as its the day to end all camping days... monkey bread starts us out...

Delicious breakfast is made.. bottles and cups are strewn about... a relaxing day in the cold wind and cloudy sky...

Finally as the day flies by, Michael arrives and the party begins... vodka is gone, but tequila fills the void...

Campfire sermons.. shennigans.. fun and games.. zip line and foolishness..

Camping has been fun... and it all comes to an end with the fire to end all fires. We move back 200 feet. It might not be enough.

As day four unfolds, people wake, pack and make our way home.. a great trip.

Friends Camping - 2011 - Day 2

People wake up, breakfast is made, magazines are read... the sun rises, the clouds cover, it rains...

Swimming starts, pond showers go on, magazines finished...

Dinner is started, then the bon fire.. people sit about drinking deliciousness...

A small, but very respectable bonfire... a great day with friends and a delicious dinner of burgers and dogs...

Friends Camping - 2011 - Day 1

Traveled to Southern Tier, Big Flats, NY for the annual camping trip with the friends. Missed it last year due to my annual Baltimore trip, but made it this year.

Left mid-day on Thursday after running a few errands, doing some shopping and cleaning, and packing the car. Got to the campsite first oddly enough around 2:30p and hung out for a couple hours until people started arriving.

Joe made quick work once we got there to help clean. This is what we would consider "man sweeping" off the patio. Dinner, drinks and a good start to camping.

The weather held out nicely the first night. Quite a bit of sun, but not too hot. Sunset was nice and the night began...

First night's bonfire was tame, but still hot. People gathered, made s'mores and sleeping outside began...

Citysolve Race 2011

Had a great time today at Rochester's CitySolve Race! Jude, Jake and I competed.


The point of the race was to solve clues, and then go and take a picture of yourself in front of that place. Here we are in front of Boulder Coffee!


After the race, in which we finished in 2 hours and 34 minutes, we had a late lunch at the Anchor Bar. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
